About Me

I’m a NYC-based social worker that’s also an amateur photographer and writer, hoping to make the latter two less amateur. Especially since the views expressed here are my own, this site is for photography, writing, and any other projects that come up. There’s life outside of social work and that’s part of my goal.

I take photos, or at least I try to make the time to take photos. My main subject area is pre-war buildings, primarily in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx. Living in the Heights/Inwood for most of my time in NYC, these buildings mean home for me. There is a simple beauty with complex details that always draws me in. As someone living Uptown and working in the Bronx, these are the areas I spend the most time in and also areas in which I find beauty that I hope to share.

Second, I write. About what? Well, I’m trying to figure that out and using this space to do it. Identity is a mainstay of the blog and the more you read it, the more you’ll get to know me. Until then, this will have to do….
